OUR MISSION

Tony Haswani, inspired by his mother’s dedication to charity work, especially her long-running food bank, founded the Haswani Foundation to continue the legacy of fighting poverty. Haswani Foundation is a non-profit organization established to address the multifaceted challenges of poverty through the lens of cultural education. By leveraging fundraising events, donations, and strategic partnerships, we aim to channel resources towards initiatives that promote learning, skill development, and cultural enrichment among marginalized communities.

The Haswani Foundation is committed to fighting poverty through the promotion of cultural education. We aim to empower individuals and communities by providing access to educational resources and opportunities, thereby fostering sustainable development and socio-economic upliftment.

Our organization is exclusively established for charitable purposes, as outlined in our mission statement and governing documents.

The core objectives of our charitable purpose include:

Providing access to education and educational resources for underserved populations. Promoting cultural awareness, diversity, and understanding. Empowering individuals and communities to break the cycle of poverty through education and skill development.

The Haswani Foundation operates with the highest standards of governance and transparency to ensure accountability and integrity in all our activities.

Key measures include:

Establishment of a governing board comprised of individuals with diverse expertise and a commitment to our mission.

Adherence to applicable legal and regulatory requirements governing non-profit organizations, including financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations.

Regular review and evaluation of our programs and projects to assess impact and effectiveness.

Transparent communication with stakeholders, including donors, beneficiaries, and the public, through regular reports, newsletters, and online platforms.

All resources of the Haswani Foundation are devoted to activities that further our charitable purposes. These activities include but are not limited to:

Organizing fundraising events such as charity galas, cultural festivals, and benefit concerts to raise funds for educational initiatives.

Soliciting donations from individuals, corporations, and philanthropic organizations to support our programs and projects.

Partnering with educational institutions, community organizations, and government agencies to identify and address the educational needs of target populations.

Developing and implementing educational programs, workshops, and initiatives aimed at enhancing literacy, numeracy, vocational skills, and cultural competency.
